Hope

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12

We live in a time where hope is fading from the hearts of many people.

We become discouraged due of various reasons.

Sometimes the battle could be spiritual but many times it’s either physical or emotional. Whatever the cause maybe let us turn to what God Word says during such hopeless and troubled days.

What is the source of this hope?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Peter1:3
.

We have a LIVING HOPE.

God is always faithful. Hope is rooted in God’s faithfulness regardless of our situation.

Jesus has conquered death and this great victory lifts us beyond mere optimism to a strong, robust hope beyond all circumstances.

“In spite of my sufferings,” said Job,” my life, my faith, my hope are in God. “Is that your testimony?

Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD. Psalm31:24

Never let a problem or hardship cause you to loose hope.

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5

So we need to do what Romans12:12 says

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  Romans12:12

Prayer

Father God, this world is distressing and confusing, and many voices want to drive me to a perspective that feels void of hope. Help me to root my heart in the promise and power of the resurrection of Jesus, who holds the future.

All that I hope, I entrust to you. You are my living hope.

In Jesus name I pray.

Amen.
